Job summary

Panera LLC is seeking an Assistant General Manager Lead to support the General Manager in daily operations and team leadership at our bakery-cafe in Los Angeles. The role focuses on staffing, development, guest service, and cost control to achieve high performance and a remarkable guest experience.

You will drive results through team coaching, operational excellence, and adherence to Panera’s guiding values while ensuring a welcoming, collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18+
• Experience in restaurant management preferred
• ServSafe certification or ability to obtain
• Strong business acumen and positive results drive

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager by making key decisions and problem solving.
• Plan and manage staffing needs, shift scheduling and people development.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding and training while energizing the team.
• Monitor performance to meet bakery-cafe goals, quality standards and guest service.
• Partner with GM to develop managers on Panera's guiding values & behaviors.
• Work as a team to delight guests with food, service and hospitality.
• Build relationships to foster loyal guest relationships and team culture.
• Follow procedures to execute company strategies and initiatives.
• Ensure policy compliance and a healthy, safe workplace.
• Help manage costs and inventory in collaboration with GM.
