Job summary

Fairfield by Marriott in Rapid City, SD seeks an energetic and strategic Assistant General Manager (AGM) to oversee daily hotel operations. You will coordinate front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, F&B, and sales, driving guest satisfaction and financial performance.

Lead a team with strong communication and organizational skills, manage multiple tasks, and partner with the General Manager to ensure best-in-class service at a Marriott-affiliated property attached to WaTiki Waterpark.

Qualifications

• Energetic, self-motivated leader with strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills required.
• Ability to direct, oversee multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work and interact with employees on every level.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Excel and Word; knowledge of property management software systems a must.
• Local market knowledge a plus, with emphasis on local, corporate and group business.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager with day-to-day operations of the property including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, food & beverage, and sales.
• Responsible for goal setting, motivation/discipline of employees, labor expense control and general expense control; resolve guest-related issues.
• Direct and manage property operations to optimize performance in guest service, employees, sales/marketing, appearance and profit.
• Oversee guest service to ensure prompt corrective action and superior service.
• Work in other hotel areas as needed to support operations.
• Complete duties of General Manager during times when GM is unavailable.
