Job summary

Extended Stay America San Antonio - North is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead hotel operations in the absence of the General Manager. You will oversee departments, drive revenue, control costs, and coach Guest Services staff to deliver memorable experiences.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years hotel experience or a related degree, supervisory background, and certifications such as CPR/First Aid. Daily Pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years progressive hotel experience (Rooms or F&B) or a 4-year degree with 2–3 years, or a 2-year degree with 3–4 years of related experience.
• Supervisory background required.
• Ability to stay calm and objective under pressure.
• Must hold or obtain certifications such as Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Supervise multiple departments and drive hotel profitability by coordinating with the General Manager.
• Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges to keep daily flow smooth.
• Recruit, hire, and train Guest Services staff and develop teams at all levels.
• Listen actively, communicate clearly with colleagues and guests, and maintain service standards.
• Analyze financial information and data to support hotel operations and decisions.
• Leverage Windows OS for management reporting and insights.
• Maintain professional appearance and company guidelines across the team.
• Provide a hospitality-focused, service-oriented environment for guests and staff.
