Job summary

Portillo's is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead restaurant teams in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and adherence to standards.

You will oversee scheduling, training, and daily routines while driving sales and profits and mentoring team members through development programs and IDPs. A strong leader with finance acumen will thrive here, with a mix of nights, weekends, and holidays expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Restaurant Management or 1 year as Assistant General Manager/General Manager in a high-volume, fast-paced environment preferred.
• Proven leadership and coaching abilities with focus on hospitality and guest experience.
• Strong understanding of restaurant operations, recruiting, food planning, purchasing, sanitation, health standards, and security.

Responsibilities

• Model operational standards and execute critical behaviors to run great shifts and create lifelong memories for guests and team members.
• Oversee shift planning, scheduling, training execution, and daily routines.
• Drive growth through development programs and IDPs.
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences and foster guest connections.
• Meet and exceed financial and profitability goals by managing budget and costs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food safety regulations.
