Job summary

CAVA - Century City Mall is seeking an Assistant General Manager to partner with the General Manager and Area Leader to drive store performance and team development. You will manage daily restaurant operations, forecasting, labor, and inventory to achieve profitability and exceptional guest experiences.

You will learn and master competency-based leadership, oversee schedules, training, and performance feedback, and coordinate financial reporting and action plans to propel store success.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of supervisory/management experience in restaurant or hospitality.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
• Ability to manage budgeting and cost control.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Able to adapt to fast-paced environments and solve problems.
• Willing to work nights/weekends and travel as needed.
• Generous, friendly demeanor with guests.
• Effective decision-making and openness to feedback.

Responsibilities

• Assist General Manager in daily restaurant operations, including opening/closing.
• Ensure adherence to CAVA standards for quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Oversee inventory, supply orders, and cost control.
• Supervise and support Team Members with training and performance feedback.
• Assist with scheduling and staffing coordination.
• Address Team Member issues to maintain a positive environment.
• Improve guest experience by upholding service standards and addressing concerns.
• Contribute to customer satisfaction and loyalty initiatives.
• Support with financial tracking, reporting, and budget adherence.
• Assist with compliance, record-keeping, and cash handling.
