Applegreen (US) Welcome Centers is seeking an Assistant General Manager in New Jersey. The role supports the General Manager to ensure smooth daily operations, learn essential management skills, and exercise judgment and discretion.

The position emphasizes leading teams, upholding brand standards, delivering customer satisfaction, and maintaining safe, efficient store performance across shifts.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in quick service restaurant or similar management operations.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with sharp business acumen.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate business objectives.
• Supervise day-to-day operations of non-management staff and coach shift supervisors.
• Act in the absence of the general manager and lead staff during shifts.
• Motivate staff, especially during low morale periods.
• Maintain brand standards and ensure procedures are followed.
• Ensure cash management is accurate and reports are delivered as directed.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues to build long-term relationships.
