Job summary

SONIC Drive-In in Fort Myers, FL is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in running a fast‑paced drive-in. You will train and coach Crew and Carhop staff, direct daily operations, and ensure exceptional guest experiences through strict adherence to standards.

You will manage schedules, inventory, and payroll records, while leading hiring, training, and performance development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced studies preferred.
• Minimum of two years restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• Ability to work a minimum 5-day week with irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices.
• Knowledge of federal/state labor laws and local health/sanitation regulations.
• Strong leadership, supervision and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coaches Crew/Team members, Carhops, and Skating Carhops to meet standards.
• Oversees opening/closing duties and staffing levels; prepares schedules.
• Monitors inventory; places orders within cost control procedures.
• Keeps employment records and payroll documentation; manages reports.
• Responds to guest requests promptly and resolves complaints with supervision.
• Interviews and hires staff to maintain appropriate staffing levels.
• Develops action plans to address unfavorable sales trends; implements marketing plans.
