Postino WineCafe is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support daily restaurant operations, uphold food safety standards, and drive financial performance. The role emphasizes team leadership, cost management, and guest experience in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of full-service leadership or 3–5 years in a supervisory role, plus ServSafe certification and a hospitality-focused degree.

Qualifications

• 1 year of full-service restaurant management experience or 3–5 years in a lead/supervisory role in a restaurant.
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Hospitality, Management, or Business preferred.
• ServSafe and Responsible Alcohol Service Certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily restaurant operations and support the General Manager’s vision.
• Ensure food quality, safety, sanitation, and portion control across kitchen and service.
• Oversee inventory, ordering, and cost controls (COGS) and budgeting with the GM.
• Lead staff scheduling, training, and development; hire and coach Culinary Trainers as needed.
• Maintain vendor relationships to ensure quality, pricing, and service standards; monitor ordering accuracy.
