Delaware North’s Patina Group is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager for Banners Kitchen & Tap in Boston, MA. You’ll lead beverage programs, train staff, and partner with culinary teams to drive guest satisfaction and sales.

The role emphasizes beverage management, mixology innovation, cost control, and operational excellence in a fast-paced environment. Strong leadership and knowledge of spirits, wine, and beer are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years’ experience as an Assistant General Manager or Senior Restaurant Manager with focus on beverage management.
• No college degree required.
• ServSafe preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong financial and computer skills; experience with P&Ls.
• Microsoft Office Suite knowledge (Word & Excel).

Responsibilities

• Partner with the General Manager to train, manage and oversee front-of-house staff.
• Ensure Health Department regulations are followed and the restaurant is clean and safe.
• Collaborate to maximize sales, promotions, guest satisfaction and monitor costs.

Delaware North’s Patina Group is searching for an experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at Banners Kitchen & Tap in Boston, Massachusetts. We are seeking a hospitality leader with a strong background in high-volume restaurant operations and a deep understanding of beverage management, cocktail culture, and bar operations. This role will serve as a key driver of our beverage program, partnering with culinary and front-of-house teams to elevate the guest experience through creative mixology, beverage innovation, staff training, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing beverage programs, developing cocktail offerings, driving beverage sales, controlling costs, and leading bar teams is highly desired. Pay

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $78,400 - $105,800 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. What will you do?

• Partner with the General Manager to train, manage and oversee front-of-house service staff, ensuring delivery of products and professional services is consistent with budget, policies, procedures, and quality
• Ensure all Health Department regulations are being adhered to and the restaurant is clean, sanitized, and safe for team members and guests
• Collaborate with leaders to maximize sales potential and profitability, including promotions, guest satisfaction, monitoring product and labor costs, and reviewing financial information
• Order and conduct weekly inventory of wine, liquor, and other supplies
• Build rapport with restaurant guests and ensure an enjoyable and memorable experience
