Job summary

Hyatt Place Post Falls, managed by Northwest x Southern Hospitality, is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in daily hotel operations. You will oversee Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Security, and drive revenue, cost, and service excellence across the property.

The role emphasizes leadership, guest satisfaction, and implementing programs to elevate guest experiences.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; hospitality degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in the hospitality field.
  • Previous experience as a hotel manager, assistant manager, or hotel department manager.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven customer service experience as a manager; guest-focused mentality.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager in managing hotel operations and maintaining revenue, cost, quality, safety, and security.
  • Direct responsibility for all Rooms Division including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Security.

Summary of position: The primary purpose of this position will act as the assistant to the General Manager in managing the hotel's operations, maintaining established revenue, cost, quality, safety, and security. Directly responsible for all Rooms Division to include Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance and Security. Assists in the development of new programs which result in an increased level of guest satisfaction and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent GED; degree in hospitality or related field of study preferred

Must have at least 5 or more years of experience in the hospitality field

Previous experience as a hotel manager, assistant manager, or hotel department manager required

Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and problem-solving skills

Proven customer service experience as a manager; strong guest-focused mentality
