Job summary

Hyatt Place Fairbanks, proudly managed by Northwest x Southern Hospitality, seeks a Guest Service Supervisor to lead our Front Desk team and ensure exceptional guest experiences from arrival to departure.

You will oversee check-in/check-out, handle guest concerns, promote loyalty programs, and contribute to revenue optimization while upholding the brand’s service standards in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to obtain government/brand permits or certificates as required.
• Up to 40 hours per week with varied shifts including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.

Summary: This position supervises the daily operations of the hotel's Front Desk while ensuring exceptional guest service, efficient front office operations, and a seamless guest experience from arrival through departure. The Guest Service Supervisor provides leadership and support to the front desk team, oversees guest check-in and check-out, resolves guest concerns, promotes brand loyalty programs, and helps maximize revenue through effective room inventory and service excellence. The ideal candidate is a customer-focused leader with strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and team performance.

Qualifications:

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with previous hotel, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are important, along with the ability to work well in a team environment. Ability to obtain any government-required or brand-required permits, licenses, or certificates. Up to 40 hours per week with varied and flexible shifts/days, likely to include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
