Job summary

Major Food Group, based in Boston, MA, is seeking a passionate hospitality leader to maintain the highest standards of guest service and operations.

You will schedule, train, and supervise staff, uphold policies, and lead by example in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The role requires a degree in hospitality or related field and culinary background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
• Culinary certificate or comparable experience in culinary roles preferred.
• Experience opening new restaurants with training and motivating staff is strongly preferred.
• Proven team player who leads by example and is willing to do what is needed of the team.
• Must exemplify high standards of honesty, integrity, humility and leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Schedule and appoint tasks and responsibilities to staff as directed by the GM
• Ensure policies are upheld
• Offer and inspire exemplary guest service
• Supervise employees, making sure they follow regulations and meet customer service standards.
• Other responsibilities to ensure ease of operations

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred
• Culinary certificate or comparable experience working in culinary roles preferred
• Previous experience performing new restaurant opening responsibilities such as training and motivating new employees into a high-performing team and implementing new systems, policies, and procedures strongly preferred
• Proven team player willing to roll up your sleeves - a good leader should be willing and able to do whatever he or she asks of their team!
• Must exemplify the highest standards in honesty, integrity, humility and leadership
