We are seeking an exceptional candidate for the position of Assistant Lead Welcome Enthusiast / Assistant Front Office Manager at our beautiful new hotel in Jersey City Arts District.

Position Title:

Assistant Lead Welcome Enthusiast / Assistant Front Office Manager

Reports To:

Lead Welcome Enthusiast / Front Office Manager

Position Summary:

This role involves supervising all front office personnel, ensuring the completion of front office duties, and coordinating activities across the front desk, reservations, guest services, and telephone areas. The position also includes preparing monthly reports and managing the front office budget.

Responsibilities include:
  • Training and scheduling front office staff
  • Participating in hiring decisions
  • Supervising shift workloads
  • Evaluating employee performance
  • Maintaining communication with other departments
  • Managing master key control and room status accuracy
  • Resolving guest issues promptly and courteously
  • Handling group information and requirements
  • Monitoring credit and financial reports
  • Managing budgets and forecasting revenue and occupancy
  • Overseeing all front office operations including system management and reporting
  • Ensuring guest requests and VIP needs are met
  • Maintaining supplies and documentation
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management
Prerequisites:

Education: Minimum two-year college degree, proficient in primary workplace language.

Experience: At least one year of supervisory experience at a hotel front desk, with cash handling, accounting, and administrative skills. Knowledge of Hilton's OnQ PMS is preferred.
