Job Description

Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Assistant Front Office Manager for the beautiful Barton Creek Resort & Spa. If you love hospitality and creating memorable customer experiences, you'll thrive here. Responsibilities

  1. Ensure Four Diamond standards and guest satisfaction levels are maintained.
  2. Provide courteous and efficient service to all guests, ensuring proper staff posting, grooming, and adherence to MOS standards.
  3. Familiarize with AM and PM checklists, reports, and checklists completion.
  4. Understand and oversee cash handling processes, maintaining proper bank standards.
  5. Be knowledgeable about check-in/check-out procedures, hotel amenities, and local attractions.
  6. Monitor room blocking strategies and make adjustments based on guest requests and availability.
  7. Protect guest confidentiality and room key security according to SOPs.
  8. Train staff on Select Guest and GHA programs.
  9. Understand hotel rate plans and strategies for rate adjustments.
  10. Address guest requests promptly and handle complaints effectively.
  11. Engage in service recovery to ensure guest satisfaction.
  12. Conduct monthly Moments of Service Audits and ongoing staff training.
  13. Participate in guest engagement meetings and respond to Opera alerts.
  14. Communicate hotel and guest information daily to staff.
  15. Assist with inventory, ordering supplies, and uniforms.
  16. Manage rate discrepancy, balance, and credit reports daily.
  17. Maintain all Front Office systems and controls.
  18. Create staff schedules, monitor staffing levels, and cover shifts as needed.
  19. Recruit, interview, hire, and train Front Office staff.
  20. Coach, counsel, and evaluate staff performance.
  21. Assist with departmental meetings, training, and payroll management.
  22. Represent Omni brand and culture, emphasizing engagement principles.
  23. Support a positive work environment focused on growth, teamwork, and service excellence.
  24. Follow safety policies, report incidents, and complete safety training.
  25. Adhere to all company policies, maintain professional appearance, and protect proprietary information.

Qualifications

  1. Minimum 1 year of Front Office Management experience or participation in the Omni LID program; experience in upscale hotels preferred.
  2. Proven leadership skills with the ability to delegate, train, develop, and motivate staff.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  4. Strong organizational skills with multitasking ability.
  5. Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
  6. Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
