Summary

The Driskill joined the Hyatt family of hotels in 2013, and has become a benchmark for the Unbound Collection by Hyatt. Since its opening in 1886 the hotel has been an integral part of the fabric in the city of Austin known for its legendary service and historical ties to Texas and Austin.

The Assistant Front Office Manager is an entry-level Leadership position who will assist with oversight of the front office staff, cash control for agents, staffing needs, and guest services. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: scheduling, training/development, payroll, cash control for front office agents, assistance with VIP guests and ensuring safety practices are in place and being upheld by all team members.

The Assistant Front Office Manager will promote an atmosphere that ensures guest and colleague satisfaction. This requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work with guests, other departments and team members effectively and efficiently.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years prior hotel leadership experience preferred
  • Hotel/Hospitality Degree is an asset
  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Service oriented style with professional presentation skills
  • This position must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • The following attributes preferred: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service
  • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
