Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. in Houston is seeking an Assistant Foreman to support project execution by coordinating with project leaders, ensuring safety, and managing equipment mobilization.

You will oversee setup and teardown of pumping, power generation, HVAC, and temporary utility systems, promote safety, and help deliver on-time project results. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge and effective communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.
• Experience in mechanical maintenance or related role with bypass pumping, generators, power distribution, A/C and water restoration or construction equipment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and electrical interfaces.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, blueprints and schematics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; good customer interaction skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist and lead setup and teardown of equipment for various operational systems (pumping, power gen, HVAC, energy and temporary utilities).
• Participate in emergency and disaster response readiness and execution.
• Promote safety and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Coordinate with Project Leads to monitor timelines and resource allocation; ensure on-time delivery.
