Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Foreman to support project execution, ensure safety compliance, and coordinate with project leadership.

You will lead system mobilization/decommissioning across pumping, power, HVAC, and utility systems, while assisting with rapid disaster response and risk controls. You will also monitor timelines and resources to guarantee on-time delivery, optimized equipment use, and satisfactory client outcomes, leveraging your mechanical and analytical skills

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or education in mechanics or engineering is a plus.
• Experience in a mechanical, maintenance, or related role with bypass pumping, generators, power distribution, A/C and water restoration or construction equipment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and electrical/electronic interfaces.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.

Responsibilities

• System mobilization and decommissioning: setup and tear down of equipment for various systems.
• Emergency and disaster response: participate in rapid deployment and resource management.
• Safety assurance: promote safety policies and practices.
• Compliance oversight: identify hazards and implement risk controls.
• Execution support: monitor timelines and resource allocation with project leads.
• Performance and delivery: ensure on-time completion and efficient operation, maximizing profitability and client satisfaction.
