Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals seeks an Assistant Foreman to support project execution, safety compliance and leadership on critical equipment runs. You will mobilize and decommission pumping, power, HVAC and energy systems, and contribute to disaster response efforts.

You will coordinate with project leadership to ensure timelines and resource allocation, while maintaining safe, efficient operations and client satisfaction across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical, maintenance or related roles with bypass pumping, generators, power distribution, A/C and water restoration or construction equipment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and electrical/electronic interfaces.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• System mobilization and decommissioning: lead setup and tear down of equipment for operational systems (pumping, power, HVAC, energy and temporary utilities).
• Emergency and disaster response: participate in rapid deployment and management of resources for disaster restoration.
• Safety assurance: promote a safe work environment and ensure adherence to safety policies and practices.
• Compliance oversight: identify hazards and implement controls to minimize risk.
• Execution support: collaborate with project leads to monitor timelines and resource allocation, ensure on-time delivery.
