Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking an Assistant Foreman to support project execution and ensure safe, efficient delivery of equipment. You will help mobilize and tear down equipment across pumping, power, HVAC and utility systems, while coordinating with project leadership.

You will promote a safe work environment, identify hazards, and help manage resources to keep projects on schedule and within budget, delivering customer satisfaction and reliable service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or education in mechanics or engineering a plus.
• Prior experience in mechanical, maintenance or related role with bypass pumping, generators, power distribution, A/C and heat and water restoration or construction equipment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and electrical/electronic interfaces.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints and schematics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Excellent verbal and written skills to interact effectively with customers, team members and internal resources.

Responsibilities

• Directly assist and lead mobilization and decommissioning of equipment for operational systems (pumping, power, HVAC, energy and utilities).
• Actively participate in rapid deployment and management of resources for disaster restoration and emergency response.
• Promote safety and ensure adherence to company safety policies and best practices.
• Identify hazards and implement controls to minimize risk and ensure project execution.
• Collaborate with Project Leads to monitor timelines and resources; ensure on-time delivery and equipment efficiency.
• Support profitable delivery and client satisfaction through effective coordination.
