Job summary

Orting High School in the Orting School District seeks an Assistant Football Coach for the 2026-27 season. This non-continuing position is contingent on program numbers and requires after-school availability and a strong commitment to student-athlete development.

You will support coaching staff, supervise drills, and help maintain sportsmanship and safety standards on and off the field. Experience coaching football preferred; must meet WIAA standards and communicate effectively with students,

Orting High School, a member of the 2A SPSL, is committed to providing excellence in all of its co-curricular programs. The Orting School District is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Football Coach at Orting High School.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Experience preferred in coaching/participating in football
• Knowledge of footballtechniques and strategies
• Be able to meet all W.I.A.A.requirements for the Washington State Coaching Standards
• Ability to communicate positively and effectively with students, parents, staff and community member
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Strong organizational skills necessary to support running a solid highschool program
• Successful experience working with teenage athletes
• Ability to motivate teens to reach their highest potential academically through sportsmanship

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Be high school graduate or have completed a graduation equivalency diploma (GED) program
• Be at least 19years of age to be an assistantcoach
• Current first aid and CPR training
• Flexible Schedule
• Must be available immediately after school - 2:15pm
