Orting High School, a member of the 2A SPSL, is committed to providing excellence in all of its co-curricular programs. The Orting School District is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Volleyball Coach (Non-Continution) at Orting High School.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Experience preferred in coaching/participating in volleyball
  • Knowledge of volleyballtechniques and strategies
  • Be able to meet all W.I.A.A.requirements for the Washington State Coaching Standards
  • Ability to communicate positively and effectively with students, parents, staff and community member
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills necessary to support running a solid highschool program
  • Successful experience working with teenage athletes
  • Ability to motivate teens to reach their highest potential academically through sportsmanship
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Be high school graduate or have completed a graduation equivalency diploma (GED) program
  • Be at least 19years of age to be an assistantcoach
  • Current first aid and CPR training
  • Flexible Schedule
  • Must be available immediately after school - 2:15pm

For coaching positions, eligibility for benefits is determined by a number of factors, including the number of hours an employee worked during the last two (2) school years (September 1 through August 31). Coaching positions may not be benefit eligible. Benefits are administered through the Payroll Department. Additional information is available on their district webpage . Regular employees who are also in coaching position(s) and are anticipated to work630 hours or more in a year are eligible forthe following benefits:medical, dental, vision, retirement, life insurance, long-term disability and the employee assistance program.
The district's healthcarebenefits are administered by the Washington State Healthcare Authority (HCA) under the School Employees Benefits Board ( SEBB ).Benefit eligible employees also qualify to optionallyparticipate in deferred compensation/403B plans, dependent care flexible spending/health savingsaccounts, and additional life insurance and/or added long-term disability coverage through employee contributions. Sick leave, vacation, personal leave, and any paid holidays are aligned with bargaining agreements by association,as listed on our website.
