Job summary

Ortingschools is seeking a Head Girl's Golf Coach for Orting High School. This role involves developing students' skills in golf, ensuring adherence to W.I.A.A. standards, and fostering a positive team environment.

The Orting School District is seeking applicants for the position of Head Girl's Golf Coach at Orting High School.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience preferred in coaching/participating in golf
  • Knowledge of cross countrytechniques and strategies
  • Be able to meet all W.I.A.A.requirements for the Washington State Coaching Standards
  • Ability to communicate positively and effectively with students, parents, staff and community member
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills necessary to support running a solid high school program
  • Successful experience working with teenage athletes
  • Ability to motivate teens to reach their highest potential academically through sportsmanship
Minimum Qualifications
  • Be high school graduate or have completed a graduation equivalency diploma (GED) program
  • Be at least 21years of age to be an assistantcoach
  • Current first aid and CPR training or the ability to obtain, prior to the start of the season, from an approved OSD provider that includes return demonstration
  • Flexible Schedule
  • Must be available immediately after school - 2:15pm
  • Completion of required Vector Solutions (SafeSchools) trainings within thirty (30) days of hire.
Terms of Employment

Location: Orting High School

Work Year: 2026-27

High School Fall Season Dates: 08/24/2026 - 10/20/2026

Work Start: High school dismissal is 2:15 PM, M-Th and 12:45 PM on F

Salary: 2025-26 OXA Extra Curricular Salary Schedule Appendix A

Will be paid at 2026-27 rates.

For coaching positions, eligibility for benefits is determined by a number of factors, including the number of hours an employee worked during the last two school years (September 1 through August 31). Coaching positions may not be benefit eligible.

Regular employees who are also in coaching positions and are anticipated to work 630 hours or more in a year are eligible for the following benefits: medical, dental, vision, retirement, life insurance, long‑term disability, and the employee assistance program.

Benefits are administered through the Payroll Department.

Other benefits include VEBA, a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) that allows pre‑tax contributions for out‑of‑pocket medical, dental or vision premiums or other out‑of‑pocket medical expenses.
