Job summary

Alila Napa Valley, part of Hyatt, is seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Finance Manager to support our Finance department. Located in Napa Valley, the property blends luxury and sustainability with a caring team.

You will assist with monthly statements, budgets, and audits; oversee payables/receivables, support month-end close, and partner with department leaders to improve financial controls and profitability.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accounting or finance experience.
• Hospitality or hotel finance experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with hotel management and accounting systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
• Strong analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Confidentiality of sensitive financial information.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Finance in overseeing daily financial operations and ensuring compliance with policies and GAAP.
• Support monthly financial statements, forecasts, budgets, and management reports.
• Analyze financial performance, investigate variances, and recommend profitability improvements.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Monitor cash flow, banking activities, and cash handling procedures to safeguard assets.
• Ensure internal controls and audit requirements are met; assist audits with documentation.
• Collaborate with department leaders to provide financial guidance and insights.
