Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in overseeing daily operations of campus facilities, including buildings, grounds, and utilities.
  2. Coordinate and supervise maintenance and repair activities across campus.
  3. Help manage vendor relationships and oversee contracted services.
  4. Contribute to space planning and allocation efforts for academic and administrative needs.
  5. Assist in developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs.
  6. Support the development and management of departmental budgets.
  7. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  8. Participate in emergency preparedness planning and response.
  9. Assist in the implementation of sustainability initiatives across campus.
  10. Manage work order systems and maintain accurate facilities-related records.
  11. Collaborate with various university departments to address facilities-related issues.
Qualifications:
  1. 3-5 years of experience in facility management, preferably in a higher education setting.
  2. Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and safety regulations.
  3. Proficiency in facility management software and Microsoft Office suite.
  4. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Experience with sustainability practices and energy management is a plus.
Preferred Certifications:
  • Facilities Management Professional (FMP) certification or willingness to obtain within one year of employment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to walk campus grounds and navigate multiple buildings daily.
  • Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds and climbing ladders when necessary.
Work Schedule:
  • Full-time, Monday to Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work as required for emergency situations or special events.
