Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking an Assistant Facilities Manager to support the delivery of integrated FM services across client sites. You will help manage several service lines, ensuring operations run efficiently, safely and in line with contracts and SLAs.

The role involves working with the contract management team, driving performance, and occasionally visiting other Midlands sites. Strong communication, budgeting, and workforce planning skills are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management or similar operational environment.
• Experience supporting delivery of multi-service line operations.
• Good understanding of KPIs, SLAs and service performance management.
• Strong budgeting and cost-control experience.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring all service areas are staffed and operating effectively.
• Oversee delivery across multiple service lines: Technical Services, Cleaning, Workplace Services, Porterage, Hospitality, Helpdesk, Mail Room and other ad hoc services.
• Ensure audits, compliance checks and daily tasks are completed in line with procedures.
• Monitor KPIs and SLAs, taking action to meet contractual standards.
• Collate reporting to support contract administration and performance management.
• Assist with recruitment and workforce planning to ensure optimal staffing levels.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships as a key day-to-day contact.
• Identify and resolve operational issues with a proactive, solution-focused approach.
