Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Cleaning Manager to lead cleaning operations, ensure compliance with health and safety policies, and act as the main liaison for clients and OCS management. You will report to the Site Manager, manage staff and resources, and provide regular performance reports.

The role requires strong people management, a keen eye for detail, and excellent communication. You will organise rotas, manage stock and equipment, and support HR activities such as recruitment and training

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role; BICS qualification preferred.
• Strong people management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for client liaison and team coordination.
• Proactive and adaptable to changing demands.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Experience in HR management, including recruitment, training, and employee relations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure contract operates within H&S policies and COSHH risk assessments.
• Serve as the first point of contact for client and OCS management.
• Collaborate with customer representatives to address specific requirements or concerns.
• Organise staff rotas and complete wage and other administrative paperwork.
• Manage equipment, materials, and stock levels.
• Assist in training and development of staff.
• Provide regular reports on operational performance to management.
• Conduct regular inspections to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Implement and monitor cleaning schedules for comprehensive coverage.
• Address operational issues promptly to maintain smooth operations.
• Oversee team management including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
• Handle HR responsibilities such as employee relations and compliance with laws and policies.
