Assistant Facilities Manager

Compensation: $72,000.00 - $90,000.00

Apple Autos is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Facility Manager to support the maintenance, safety, and operational excellence of multiple dealership locations. The ideal candidate will assist with the daily management of building systems, vendor coordination, and capital improvement projects across the group’s facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Facility Manager in coordinating day-to-day operations of all dealership facilities.
  • Supervise maintenance staff, delegate work orders, oversee special projects, and manage time effectively.
  • Inspect and oversee work completed on work orders.
  • Participate in interviewing and selecting new maintenance team members.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and contractors for scheduled maintenance, landscaping, HVAC, janitorial services, and emergency repairs.
  • Monitor preventative maintenance schedules and logs.
  • Keep management informed about the status of maintenance projects.
  • Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment.
  • Support planning and execution of facility-related projects such as remodels, upgrades, and compliance improvements.
  • Respond promptly to urgent maintenance issues, including after-hours emergencies.
  • Ensure OSHA and local regulatory compliance across all sites.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, records, and reports related to facilities.
  • Handle confidential matters in accordance with company policies.
  • Work outdoors at various sites and in inclement weather as required.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in facility maintenance.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Boiler's License is required.
  • Trade, technical education, or maintenance apprenticeship is desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle report.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Familiarity with electrical, mechanical systems, and maintenance tools.
  • Strong work ethic and trustworthy demeanor.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Experience operating skid loaders, snowplows, and trailers is preferred.
Education and Experience
  • Minimum of five years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Relevant industry experience is a plus.
