Apple Autos is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Facility Manager to support the maintenance, safety, and operational excellence of multiple dealership locations. The ideal candidate will assist with the daily management of building systems, vendor coordination, and capital improvement projects across the group’s facilities.
What You’ll Do
- Assist the Facility Manager in coordinating day-to-day operations of all dealership facilities.
- Supervision of maintenance staff members including delegation of work orders, special projects and time management techniques
- Inspection and oversight of existing and completed work orders
- Involvement with the interviewing and selection of new maintenance team members
- Work with third-party vendors and contractors for scheduled maintenance, landscaping, HVAC, janitorial services, and emergency repairs.
- Monitor preventative maintenance schedules and logs.
- Keeps management informed of the status of maintenance projects
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment.
- Support the planning and execution of facility-related projects (e.g., remodels, upgrades, compliance improvements).
- Respond to urgent maintenance issues as needed, including after-hours emergencies.
- Ensure OSHA and local regulatory compliance across all sites.
- Maintain facility documentation, records, and reports.
- Handles confidential matters in accordance with management policy
- Required to work outside at various sites and in inclement weather.
What You’ll Bring
- Assist the Facility Manager in coordinating day-to-day operations of all dealership facilities.
- Oversee minor repairs and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standards.
- Work with third-party vendors and contractors for scheduled maintenance, landscaping, HVAC, janitorial services, and emergency repairs.
- Monitor preventative maintenance schedules and logs.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment.
- Support the planning and execution of facility-related projects (e.g., remodels, upgrades, compliance improvements).
- Manage inventory of facility-related supplies and equipment.
- Respond to urgent maintenance issues as needed, including after-hours emergencies.
- Ensure OSHA and local regulatory compliance across all sites.
- Maintain facility documentation, records, and reports.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in facility maintenance
- One year of supervisory experience
- Boiler's License required
- Maintenance apprenticeship, trade, or technical education desirable.
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle report
- Capable of heavy lifting, minimum 50 lbs.
- General familiarity with electrical, mechanical systems and maintenance tools
- Excellent work ethic and trustworthy
- Ability to work well with others
- Enjoys working on production and facility equipment.
- Experience with operation of skid loader, snowplows and trailers preferred
Education/Experience:
- Minimum of Five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Relevant industry experience a plus.
