Job summary

The Peninsula Chicago is seeking an Assistant Food & Beverage Outlet Manager to lead a luxury, guest-focused team on Michigan Avenue. You will oversee staff scheduling, training, and service standards across a multi-outlet environment, ensuring high-quality guest experiences and revenue optimization.

Candidates should have at least two years of leadership in a Five-Star hotel restaurant, strong knowledge of cuisine and wine pairings, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• 2+ years leadership experience in a three-meal period in a restaurant Five-Star hotel.
• Fluency in English; additional languages advantageous.
• Relevant professional qualifications (Hospitality, Business, Marketing).

Responsibilities

• Manage all activities of the outlet including staff scheduling and delegation of tasks.
• Supervise service, reservations, seating, and floor presence to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Train, mentor, and motivate department staff; support the department manager.
• Utilize POS and HOTsos systems per company policies.
• Maintain discreet, professional service and maximize revenue while greeting guests.

Working with a talented team of Food & Beverage professionals, The Peninsula Chicago is seeking a guest-focused Assistant Food & Beverage Outlet Manager.

• Work for a luxury Five-Star Five-Diamond property in the heart of Michigan Avenue, Chicago.

Key Accountabilities

• Responsible for all activities of outlet, which includes staff scheduling, delegation of job tasks, monitoring and supervision of service, monitoring reservations and table assignment when applies, and ensuring managerial floor presence.
• Train, mentor, motivate, supervise, and assist department manager to discipline all department employees.
• Initiate and maintain friendly yet discreet and unobtrusive service in greeting, seating, and waiting on all guests.
• Take, control reservations and seating of the restaurant regarding service standards and maximizing revenue.
• Utilize the POS and HOTsos systems as per policies and procedure in place.

General Requirements
