Job Description

Responsible for the assigned shift, assisting in the overall management of the Starbucks outlet.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the overall management of the Food & Beverage Department as outlined by the Director of Food & Beverage and the Food & Beverage Outlets Manager.
  • Remain present during operational “golden hours,” monitor product pars, and assist staff when necessary.
  • Hold daily stand-up meetings. Monitor team members' overall performance and utilization of skills learned during the Power of Engagement Modules.
  • Handle guest comments and complaints to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Communicate with guests professionally via phone or email.
  • Ensure all prepared dishes meet Virginia Health Department standards and Omni Richmond Hotel standards for safety, presentation, and quality.
  • Assist the Food and Beverage Outlets Manager in scheduling, forecasting, budgeting, and managerial coverage related to the Starbucks outlet.
  • Participate in interviewing new employees as needed.
  • Prepare maintenance requests using Synergy and follow-up.
  • Monitor food, coffee, tea, and merchandise waste.
  • Meet quarterly with Starbucks Corp. District Manager.
  • Utilize Starbucks Corp. training and coaching systems to ensure consistency of food and beverage quality and service.
Qualifications
  • This position requires a 50-hour work week.
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in a hospitality field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Starbucks supervisory experience and relevant leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
  • Proven effective leader with the ability to delegate.
  • Ability to train, develop, and lead a team to success.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with organizational skills.
  • ServSafe Food Manager Certification required.
