Hyatt Hotels Corporation in Washington, DC, is seeking an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager for Park Hyatt Washington. You will join a Michelin-acclaimed restaurant team and contribute to exceptional guest experiences within a luxury service environment.

Role requires strong leadership, hands-on management of outlets (Blue Duck Tavern, Lounge, In-Room Dining), and collaboration with the F&B Director. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years in F&B role preferred.
• Wine/beverage knowledge in an upscale environment preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to work with flexible schedule, and leadership qualities.
• Previous restaurant supervisory or management experience in a fine dining, full-service operation.
• Demonstrated ability to lead detailed, anticipatory, Michelin-level steps of service and deliver memorable guest experiences.
• Strong wine knowledge, including confidence discussing the list and recommending pairings.
• Must be able to lead busy shifts, coach and develop staff, resolve guest concerns, and work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Familiarity with reservations and POS systems, cash handling, labor and supply controls, and food-safety and sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Blue Duck Tavern Managers as well the other F&B outlets while working closely with the Food & Beverage Director and other hotel departments.
• Responsible for short- and long-term planning of all Outlets, including the Blue Duck Tavern Restaurant, the Lounge and In-Room Dining.
• Ensure effective hiring, training, development, promotion and continuous reinforcement.
• Lead and coach the team towards achieving exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction results.
• Help with colleague engagement.
• Develop and implement creative strategies for revenue enhancement and cost containment.
• Responsible for maintaining a high energy, positive, professional appearance.
• Assist in planning, coordinating & managing special events and holiday functions.
• Ability to take the initiative to run the outlets as a free-standing entity.
