Job summary

Surety Hotel, part of Aparium Hotel Group, Des Moines, IA, seeks an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to lead our diverse F&B team across Mulberry Street Tavern, Café, Bar, In-Room Dining and Banquets. You will partner with the F&B Manager to recruit, train, and coach staff, ensuring exceptional guest experiences.

You will act as Manager on Duty, drive service standards, and collaborate with Culinary to execute concepts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Food & Beverage, with at least one (1) year in a supervisory or leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Lead Restaurant, Bar, Café, In-Room Dining and Banquets F&B team across meals and events.
• Serve as Manager on Duty during shifts, ensuring service standards and guest satisfaction.
• Collaborate with Culinary and F&B teams to execute concepts at a high level.
• Maintain Standards of Service across all F&B areas for associates and guests.
• Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, coach, and motivate F&B staff to foster talent and succession planning.
• Oversee labor and cost controls; monitor inventory, set staffing levels, and ensure smooth operation.
