Job summary

Atrium Hospitality's Des Moines Sheraton in West Des Moines, IA is seeking a part-time food and beverage associate to greet guests, present menus, and take orders. You will deliver items to guest rooms with care and timeliness while processing payments and reporting tips for tax compliance.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, well-stocked station, handling VIP setups, and coordinating with the kitchen to ensure safe, high‑quality service.

Qualifications

• Prior customer service experience (server or cashier experience is a plus)
• Food Safety and Alcohol Awareness certified or willing to become certified within 60 days
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull up to 20 lbs, and stand/walk for the full shift
• Friendly and professional demeanor with strong communication skills
• Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, present menus, answer questions, and suggest food and beverage options
• Take and deliver food and beverage orders to guest rooms with care and timeliness
• Accurately process guest payments and report tips for tax compliance
• Maintain a clean and well-stocked wait station and handle VIP amenity setups
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures, including coordination with the kitchen
