Job summary

America's Best, part of National Vision, is hiring an Assistant Eyeglass Manager to oversee daily store operations, including personnel management and inventory control, delivering a positive experience for customers and keeping associates happy.

The role leads the eyeglass department, drives sales, and coordinates with leadership to ensure promotions, compliance, and timely store reporting. Strong bilingual English/Spanish skills and leadership ability are essential.

Qualifications

• Fluent in reading and speaking English and Spanish.
• Optical sales experience; supervising experience preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and build associate relationships.
• Strong understanding of store operations and success standards.
• Excellent communication skills for managing teams.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills for planning and monitoring goals.
• Ability to analyze, create, and understand financial reports.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems of varied scope.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals (i.e. reviewing the P&L).
• Optimize and oversee the eyeglass department for efficiency and policy compliance.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and ensure the same from all associates.
• Ensure quality standards; review remakes and enforce compliance.
• Communicate with GM, DM, and Corporate; provide store reporting.
• Oversee promotions, advertising and visual merchandising, ensure awareness of promos.
• Supervise and motivate Opticians and CL Sales associates (or Receptionist).
• Assist GM with staffing forecasts, recruitment and retention of staff.
• Motivate team to exceed performance standards.
• In some locations, comply with license/credential requirements per laws.
