Job description

AEKM Compensation range is $70,000-$83,000/year + 10% bonus potential.

The final offered salary will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity.

Job Overview

As an Assistant Executive Kitchen Manager, you will help lead our scratch kitchen, producing uniquely-inspired culinary items paired with Cooper’s Hawk wines. You will partner with the Executive Kitchen Manager to drive operational excellence, growth, and ensure high-quality food and guest experiences.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage kitchen operations, including overseeing Kitchen Managers and team members, and daily execution of dishes and prep stations.
  • Ensure adherence to policies, manage operating systems, and coordinate between kitchen and front of house.
  • Represent Cooper’s Hawk brand and foster a positive work environment.
  • Participate in hiring, scheduling, developing staff, and conducting side-by-sides.
  • Lead community meetings, oversee training, food quality, menu rollouts, and system initiatives.
  • Manage inventory, conduct line checks, and ensure food safety standards.
  • Operate computer systems including POS, scheduling, inventory software, and Microsoft Office.
  • Uphold safety standards and maintain a professional image.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need
  • 2-3 years management experience in a full-service restaurant, scratch kitchen preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in English.
  • Financial acumen and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Certifications like ServSafe and relevant licensing preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for 10+ hours, and work 50-60 hours/week, including weekends and holidays.
