Job summary

The Driskill, a Hyatt flagship property in Austin, TX, seeks an Assistant Executive Housekeeper to lead housekeeping operations and uphold luxury standards. You will oversee guestrooms, public spaces, laundry, and overnight cleaning, reporting to the Executive Housekeeper.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in hotel housekeeping or rooms operations.
• Experience leading teams in a fast-paced hospitality setting.
• Knowledge of housekeeping operations, inventory management, cleaning procedures, and laundry operations.
• Strong organizational, administrative, and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with diverse guests and colleagues.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, coach and develop team members.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Hospitality or Hotel Management degree preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
• Bilingual Spanish language skills are preferred.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Passion for delivering outstanding guest service with a genuine desire to exceed expectations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily oversight of housekeeping operations for guestrooms, public spaces, laundry, and overnight cleaning teams.
• Ensure guest rooms and public areas meet Hyatt brand standards and luxury hospitality expectations.
• Support inventory management, purchasing, and maintenance of housekeeping and laundry supplies, equipment, and par levels.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and security policies and procedures.
• Assist with recruiting, training, coaching, scheduling, and performance management of housekeeping colleagues.
• Conduct inspections of guestrooms and public spaces to ensure quality assurance standards are achieved.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Engineering, Rooms Operations, and other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
• Support VIP arrivals, turndown service, special requests, and accommodations for dignitaries and high-profile guests.
• Promote a positive and inclusive work environment that drives colleague engagement, accountability, and professional growth.
• Address guest concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring timely resolution and guest satisfaction.
• Support departmental productivity goals and expense management while maintaining exceptional service standards.
