The Assistant Executive Housekeeper at Hyatt Regency O'Hare Chicago will be responsible for assisting in managing the Housekeeping functions and staff daily to ensure guest rooms, public spaces, and team member areas are clean and well maintained. This role involves inspecting areas, following up with improvement plans, and directing the team to execute housekeeping operations effectively. The goal is to continually improve guest and team satisfaction and maximize department financial performance. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, meticulous, and capable of engaging with team members and guests.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all housekeeping policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Understand the impact of department operations on overall property performance.
  • Review staffing levels to meet operational and financial objectives.
  • Prepare work assignments based on room status and check-out lists.
  • Inventory supplies to ensure adequate stock.
  • Supervise inspection programs for guestrooms and public spaces.
  • Ensure team members have proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
  • Communicate areas needing attention and follow up on completion.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and communicate goals clearly.
  • Train new attendants and provide ongoing training.
  • Maintain open, collaborative relationships with team members.
  • Schedule staff according to demand and track attendance.
  • Administer policies fairly, complete disciplinary procedures as needed.
  • Observe team behaviors and provide feedback.
  • Recognize team members' efforts.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; hotel or college training preferred.

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Experience in a labor-organized environment preferred.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and customer management platforms.
  • Excellent time management skills.
