P.F. Chang's is hiring for a full-time Assistant Executive Chef or Kitchen Manager in Memphis. You will help manage the culinary team, oversee kitchen operations, and support hiring, training, and cost control while upholding high standards of food quality and guest service.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, staff development, and adherence to safety and inventory procedures in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of culinary management experience with experience managing and writing prep lists
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for occasional duties and travel between locations
• Hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Experience leading a team and developing employees for future leadership roles
• Facilitating and executing an effective training program
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Understanding of inventory, cost of goods and overall financial controls
• Ability to stand/walk 8–10 hours, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in varying kitchen temperatures

Responsibilities

• Accountable for operational excellence in the kitchen
• Delegate tasks and direct kitchen staff
• Conduct initial interviews with kitchen management and staff candidates
• Select and develop Sous Chefs and kitchen staff
• Prepare work schedules for kitchen staff
• Maintain safety certifications for kitchen staff
• Train staff on food prep, procedures, and recipes
• Maintain product quality standards and food costs
• Manage inventory and ordering guides
• Open/close checklists and equipment upkeep
• Ensure clean, safe kitchen environment
