Job summary

Oklahoma Department of Transportation in Oklahoma City is seeking an Assistant Division Manager/Assistant Division Engineer to lead a team of engineers and technicians within Project Management. You will report to the Division Engineer of Project Management and steer programs, budgets, and stakeholder relations.

The role requires PE licensure, a bachelor’s degree, and at least three years of supervisory experience in engineering or related fields.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience of engineers and technicians.
• Ability to plan, organize and manage engineering projects.
• Strong budget planning and resource management.
• Effective written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Selects, develops and motivates staff to ensure quality services and on-time performance.
• Plans, organizes and manages the work of subordinate staff to meet agency requirements.
• Directs engineering activities within the division or unit.
• Develops work programs aligned with policies and budget constraints.
• Manages budgets and procurement for the unit.
• Represents the department to the public and officials.
• Oversees consulting contracts and provides technical oversight.
