Responsibilities

• Selects, develops and motivates subordinate staff to ensure on-time performance.
• Plans, organizes and manages the work of subordinate staff to meet agency requirements.
• Directs engineering activities for part of the agency’s responsibilities.
• Manages budgets and oversees equipment purchases within approved budgets.
• Represents the department with the public and officials, addressing questions and concerns.
• Oversees contracts with consulting engineers and provides technical oversight.
