Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. in Illinois seeks an Assistant Director to support the Program Director in Pursuing Excellence (CDS) with hiring and training new employees, motivating and supervising staff, and communicating weekly performance to the Director.

Responsibilities include intakes, coordinating client staffing, ensuring delivery of weekly service hours, and maintaining compliance with YAP and referring authority requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree generally preferred.
• Three to five years related experience/training in youth services, juvenile justice, community programs, or program development.
• Successful prior employment in a community-based agency programming, with supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365; experience using an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system is a plus.
• Ability to manage budgets and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care, positive youth development, and community-based alternatives to out-of-home placements.
• Familiarity with local partnerships and cultural awareness
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance is required.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a preferred.

Responsibilities
