Job summary

The Center For Talent And Workforce Development (CTWD) within Schreiner University Online is seeking an Assistant Director to lead development, promotion, and delivery of workforce and continuing education programs. You’ll work with the Director to execute strategic initiatives, manage external partnerships, and oversee grant and apprenticeship activities.

The role requires collaboration across teams, supervision of staff, engagement with community partners, and occasional evening/weekend

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, business, communications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of administrative or project coordination experience.
• Experience in education, workforce development, or nonprofit sectors.
• Experience managing programs, budgets, and compliance.
• Proven ability to supervise and train staff effectively.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with community engagement experience.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multi-project management.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, Canva; familiarity with Jenzabar CRMs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with CTWD’s mission and goals.
• Support budgeting, enrollment management, and marketing efforts with the Director.
• Lead community outreach with local businesses and workforce organizations.
• Supervise staff and student workers and coordinate external partnerships.
• Represent CTWD at job fairs and events to promote programs and generate leads.
• Coordinate and report on grants and apprenticeship programs with partners.
• Assist the Director with program development and day-to-day operations.
• Coordinate with instructors and content partners for smooth course delivery.
• Provide student support and monitor program performance and enrollment.
