Job summary

Schreiner University’s Center for Talent and Workforce Development (CTWD) seeks an Assistant Director to lead the design, promotion, and delivery of workforce and continuing education programs. You will partner with the Director to implement strategic initiatives, manage external partnerships, and oversee grant and apprenticeship administration to advance Schreiner’s mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, business, communications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of administrative or project coordination experience.
• Experience working in education, workforce development, or nonprofit sectors.
• Experience managing programs, budgets, and compliance.
• Proven ability to supervise and train staff effectively.
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with community engagement experience.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with CRMs: Jenzabar and Jenzabar Recruitment Manager.
• Ability to work evenings or weekends for events.
• Valid Texas driver’s license, insurance, and driving record.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Director to develop strategic plans aligned with CTWD's mission and goals.
• Support budgeting, enrollment management, and marketing efforts in collaboration with the Director.
• Lead community outreach and relationship-building with local businesses, nonprofits, and workforce organizations.
• Supervise staff and student workers, fostering a productive and collaborative environment.
• Represent CTWD at job fairs, community events, workshops, and networking events to promote programs and generate leads.
• Coordinate and report on grants and apprenticeship programs with internal teams and external partners.
• Assist the Director with program development, implementation, and day-to-day operations.
• Coordinate with instructors and content partners to ensure smooth program delivery and positive student experiences.
• Provide student support by responding to questions and reporting on program performance.
