Overview

The Athletics Department is dedicated to excellence in collegiate sports. The Assistant Director of Ticket Operations is pivotal to the daily success of the Arizona Ticket Office, overseeing ticket operations for assigned sports and leading the box office on event days.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Coordinate ticket operations for assigned sports including programming, renewals, invoicing, seat relocations, digital ticketing management, and post-season processes.
  • Assist with managing daily operations of the ticket office, overseeing ticket sales strategies to maximize revenue for athletics events, including season tickets, single‑game tickets, and special promotions.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments (Development, Ticket Sales, Marketing) on ticket sales plans, strategy, and timelines for assigned sports.
  • Build relationships with coaches, interdepartmental staff, and campus partners, prioritizing excellent customer service.
  • Assist ticketing staff by providing updated sales materials and training when necessary.
  • Create reports for senior leadership tracking sales trends and processes.
  • Assist with hiring, training, and supervising student workers in‑office and at events.
  • Ensure student workers have support to answer questions and provide excellent customer service over the phone and in person.
  • Maintain budget accountability and perform additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Extensive knowledge of the Paciolan Ticketing System.
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
  • Effective communication with individuals at all organizational levels and a professional attitude.
  • Relationship building with coaches, staff, and partners, with a focus on customer service.
  • Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and dedicated to initiating, leading, and supporting value‑added projects.
  • Organizational skills, planning, prioritization, and managing multiple high‑priority projects simultaneously.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience.
  • Three years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree.
  • Direct experience within Division 1 collegiate athletic ticket operations.
  • Three years of experience within collegiate or professional ticket operations with Paciolan Ticketing System or comparable ticketing system.
  • Experience with interpersonal, communication, and time‑management skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
