Job summary

Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, invites applications for Assistant Director of Student Engagement to collaborate with Student Affairs staff on academic, residential, and cocurricular life. This is an eleven-month reporting position with regular evening and weekend responsibilities.

The role supports student organization finances, advises the campus programming board, and will supervise intern staff, helping to coordinate major events and programs across campus.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred; bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience with student activities and funding management.
• Commitment to diversity and inclusive student experience.

Responsibilities

• Advise campus Social Board and oversee weekly activities.
• Supervise finances for Social Board (approximately $150,000).
• Coordinate funding for registered student organizations and manage reports.
• Plan Welcome Week social programming and late-night events.
• Hire, train, and supervise student interns; collaborate with campus partners.

Education

Master’s degree in higher education, student affairs, counseling, or a related field
