Northeastern University is seeking an Academic Advisor SEIU to deliver student-focused academic advising to undergraduates in pathway programs across Northeastern network campuses. You will support registration, planning, and major declaration while partnering with home colleges on the Boston campus to promote student success and retention.
You will teach sections of the Introduction to College course, participate in committees, and collaborate with campus offices to enhance advising services.
Under the supervision of the Director of Global Undergraduate Academic Advising, the Academic Advisor delivers student-focused academic advising to undergraduate students enrolled in pathway programs offered across Northeastern network campuses. The Academic Advisor helps students identify their interests, abilities, and academic goals while providing general program advising across a portfolio of undergraduate degree programs. This position works in partnership with advising units from each program's home college on the Boston campus to support student success and retention. Responsibilities include identifying and supporting at‑risk students, assisting with registration and academic planning processes, maintaining student records, participating in recruitment and orientation activities, developing collaborative campus partnerships, and teaching multiple sections of the Introduction to College course.
