Margate Health & Rehabilitation in Jefferson, NC is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our team of dedicated health care professionals. The ADON will help organize, develop and direct the Nursing Service Department and act as a leader while supporting the DON in their absence.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license and has at least two years of supervisory experience in a nursing care facility, with a focus on documentation, resident communication, and on-call

• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a nursing care facility.

Responsibilities

• Organize, develop and direct operations of the Nursing Service Department.
• Serve as a leader and role model for nursing staff and cover DON duties in DON's absence.
• Assist with documentation and reporting required by the Board of Nursing.
• Maintain communication with residents and families; support care planning.
• Participate in on-call rotation with nurse managers.

The applicant must possess a current, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse, and must have, as a minimum, two (2) year of recent experience in a supervisory role in a nursing care facility.

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) helps organize, develop, and direct the overall operations of the Nursing Service Department.The ADON functions as a leader and role model for other nursing personnel and has the responsibility to relieve the Director of Nursing (DON) in his or her absence and assists with maintaining records and documents.The ADON will help the DON to complete all documentation and reports required by the Board of Nursing, and will assist with visiting and maintaining communication with the residents.The ADON will complete completes on-call rotation with other nurse managers.
