Job summary

Complete Care is hiring an Assistant Director of Nursing/Infection Preventionist (RN) in New Jersey. This full-time leadership role oversees the clinical team, drives quality outcomes, and promotes a culture of compassion and excellence. A $7,500 sign-on bonus is offered.

Requirements include a NJ RN license, an associates or bachelor’s degree, and infection prevention certification. Prior staff management experience and LTC/post-acute background are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Current, unencumbered New Jersey Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in long-term care or post-acute setting preferred.
• Infection Preventionist Certification required.
• Prior experience managing staff required.
• LPN may be considered based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with facility leadership and medical director to develop infection prevention goals and action plan.
• Establish a facility-wide system for prevention, identification, investigation, and control of infections.
• Maintain records of ongoing staff development programs for personnel.
• Ensure nursing staff comply with standards, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee nursing department budgets in coordination with facility administration.
• Implement compliance and quality improvement policies and procedures.
• Recruit, train, and onboard new nursing staff.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.

Assistant Director Of Nursing/Infection Preventionist Qualifications

Assistant Director Of Nursing/Infection Preventionist Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the facility leadership and medical director to develop, implement, and evaluate the annual infection prevention goals and action plan
• Establish a facility-wide system for the prevention, identification, investigation, and control of infections of residents, staff, and visitors. This will include surveillance designed to identify possible communicable disease or infections before they spread.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date records of on-going staff development programs for all personnel within facility
• Ensure that all nursing personnel in our facility comply with established standards, practices, and regulatory requirements for the highest quality of resident care
• Overseeing the implementation of nursing department budgets in coordination with the facility administration
• Implementing compliance and quality improvement policies, programs, and procedures
• Recruiting, training, and onboarding new nursing staff
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing
