Job summary
Redmont Health and Rehabilitation Center in Birmingham, AL is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support daily nursing operations and mentor staff. This role partners with the Director of Nursing to ensure safe, high-quality resident care, compliance with CMS standards, and readiness for surveys.
You will participate in quality improvement initiatives, coordinate staffing, oversee documentation, and lead clinical programs.
Qualifications
- Active Alabama RN license required.
- Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care.
- Leadership experience (ADON, RN Unit Manager or similar) preferred.
- Knowledge of CMS regulations and quality improvement.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Nursing with managing nursing services and maintaining clinical standards.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to nurses and nursing assistants.
- Help coordinate staffing and scheduling to meet resident care needs.
- Conduct rounds to monitor care delivery, identify concerns, and implement improvements.
- Review clinical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Support infection prevention practices and wound care oversight.
