Job summary

Skyline Nursing and Rehabilitation in Floyd, VA is seeking a qualified Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate is an experienced Registered Nurse with strong leadership skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional resident care.

The ADON will mentor clinical staff, support regulatory compliance, and participate in staffing, education, and policy implementation. Direct resident care may be required to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state.
• RN degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience in a setting serving a similar resident population.
• At least one (1) year of management experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to nursing home operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing education, mentorship, and leadership development to clinical management, clinicians, and other team members.
• Actively participate in the development and achievement of nursing department goals, including staff development functions and educational programming.
• Assist in the implementation of and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and standards of practice consistent with corporate and regulatory guidelines.
• Recruit, hire, and retain qualified nursing staff to deliver efficient resident care in accordance with staffing plans and state-mandated requirements.
• Collaborate with department heads to promote positive interdepartmental relations.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring an accurate and effective documentation system.
• Provide direct resident care as needed, ensuring effective interaction with residents and families.
